Also known as Probate Administration, Estate Administration is the procedure by which the law assures that the beneficiaries and heirs of a decedent receive their intended shares of decedent's property and that creditors (including tax authorities) are properly paid. Probate is an essential link in the transfer of property that is owned by the decedent in his or her own name at death and aids in the proof of title to that property. We help clients get appointed as administrators and/or executors of estates and carry out their associated duties and responsibilities in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Courts.
